From Saturday 5 December 2020 Dunsborough Lakes Golf Club is required to maintain contact registers to help with the WA Health Department’s COVID-19 contact tracing program.
Contact tracing enables the WA Government to respond quickly and identify individuals who might have been exposed to COVID-19. To enable the Club to fulfil its legal obligations, we will require all our club members, public players and tavern customers to register when they use the Lakeside Tavern facilities.
We will place QR-code posters at entrances to enable players and customers to register using the SafeWA app, which you can install on your phone or tablet. The app is a quick, hygienic and secure way to register when you visit the Club.
If you don’t have a device, we will also have a written register into which you can record your details. For customers who use the written register, you can be assured that we will protect your privacy and not disclose your details to anyone except the WA Health Department when requested. We will destroy all written registrations after 28 days.
We have so far avoided the kinds of restrictions that have happened in other states. The COVID-19 contact tracing program is designed to ensure that we don’t have to go through the same restrictions and we thank you for your cooperation.
For more information and instructions on installing the free SafeWA app on your device, please visit the WA Government’s website.
